IN a dressing room with a long history of celebrating honours, Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield were handed their proudest awards yet.
Prince William yesterday gave the former Leeds Rhinos rugby league stars and charity heroes CBEs at the very spot where they toasted their many wins together.
And it was a family affair, with Rob's excited daughters Macy, 12, and Maya, eight, spotted practising their curtsies before meeting the heir to the throne.
Although son Jackson, five, seemed more interested in lolling on a bench.
William told the former team-mates he was proud to give them CBEs at Headingley stadium, after they were overlooked for knighthoods in the 2024 New Year's Honours List, sparking fury.
The pair have raised more than £15million for the battle against Motor Neurone Disease, which Rob, 41, has.
William said: "Both of you are inspirations, it has been phenomenal watching you, it is seriously impressive.
"The amount of money you have raised and the profile you have done for MND is just phenomenal. You should be so proud, both of you, for what you have done.
"We are all so proud of you. I have brought a special couple of things up to give you today.
