A FERAL gang battered a grandmother black and blue while she sunbathed at a beauty spot.
Melanie Cuthbertson woke up during her day out at Rotten Calder waterfall in Blantyre just as a teenage boy began stamping on her face.
The 52-year-old, who had been enjoying some time with friends from a wild water swimming group, had decided to stay on after the group left to make the most of the warm weather.
But nothing could have prepared her for what was to come as the boy and a gang of about nine girls launched their savage attack on Monday.
