A DAD of two was stabbed to death in a rammy involving a crossbow.
Jack Trainner, 27, was found with fatal injuries in a close in Port Glasgow.
Police were last night treating his death as a "targeted attack".
Officers have cordoned off a large area of Brookfield Road as a probe into the "suspicious" death continues.
Locals reported seeing one of the men involved brandishing a crossbow.
A source told the Record: "It was a targeted attack. A fight broke out and a crossbow and a knife were involved."
Three police cars, a police van and eight officers were seen inside the cordon yesterday.
Forensic officers were also seen working inside a block of flats where an officer stood guard at the door.
