TONY DOCHERTY has praised Willie Collum’s decision to go public with a new VAR show on YouTube and thinks it can help improve Scottish football.
The Dundee boss watched the first episode of the SFA’s monthly VAR Review and believes the referees’ chief explaining decisions and why they were made brings a bit of much-needed transparency to the game.
Docherty also thinks the show will help improve the use of VAR.
And he said: “The transparency helps educate everyone – managers, players, fans, the media. That’s what it needed, it just needed the right person in place to do that.
