Drink driver killed cyclist & got brother to help bury body in woods

A DRINK driver killed a cyclist before teaming up with his twin brother to bury the body in a bid to cover up the crime.

Alexander McKellar pleaded guilty to ploughing into muchloved grandfather Tony Parsons in his Isuzu pick-up on the A82 road between Bridge of Orchy and Tyndrum in Argyll and Bute on September 29, 2017.

He then enlisted his brother Robert to bury the 63-year-old ex-Navy officer in woods.

Last night Tony's family told of their loss and said "justice had been done".

In a statement, they said: "Throughout the six years since he went missing and then the subsequent criminal investigation, we had been left with many unanswered questions and it has been heart-breaking for each and every member of the family being unable to get these answers. As you can imagine, not knowing what has happened to someone and then the devastating news that we were provided has taken its toll on all of us as a family.

Tony's disappearance sparked a large scale missing person probe, which included a BBC Crimewatch TV appeal.
