ROK ZORKO took Ester Sokler off the streets and now believes he’s ready to hit the road to glory with Aberdeen.
The Slovenian frontman arrived in a six-figure move from NK Radomlje earlier this summer.
The striker has already made an instant impression on the Red Army, scoring five goals in three pre-season outings.
Aberdeen fans will be hoping that continues when Barry Robson’s side continue their preparations against Charlton, ahead of their Premiership opener with Livingston.
Sokler, 24, has made a big impact in the Dons frontline and could add another exciting dimension to the goalscoring talents of Duk and Bojan Miovski.
Former coach Zorko worked with the youngster as he came through the youth ranks and into the first team at NK Krsko.
Since then he has watched on proudly as Sokler has moved up the ladder to NK Brezice, NK Celje, and NK Radomlje before his arrival at Aberdeen.
And Zorko hopes his former protege can fire the Dons into the Europa League group stage.
