RORY MCILROY has dismissed fears the DP World Tour is reducing European golf to a feeder operation by offering its top-10 players PGA Tour cards for the first time this season.

The new arrangement was branded a "disaster" by two-time DP World Tour winner Eddie Pepperrell because of the loss of talent to Europe.

But with the list of players - who are likely to include Ryder Cup star Bob MacIntyre to be finalised at this week's season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, Mcllroy has hit back.

"I don't see that side of the argument at all," said McIlroy.

"For golfers playing on the European Tour, I think it's an amazing thing that's happened.
