I'm so glad smiling assassin Danilo is beaming again says Clement
ANDY NEWPORT
GRIN & FALAIR

PHILIPPE CLEMENT was forced to grin and bear it as his injuries piled high.

But you can see the happiness on his face now he has his smiling assassin back.

The Ibrox boss made sorting his wretched Rangers crock list the summer's No.1 priority.

But it's only now, just under three weeks from Christmas, the big Belgian finally feels like he has the necessary options at his disposal.

Chief among those are his new twin strike threat of Hamza Igamane and Danilo.

It was the forward duo who got Rangers off and running in Dingwall as their goals put the Light Blues two up against Don Cowie's side.

Igamane's introduction in Glasgow was delayed as he readjusted to his new surroundings following his £1.8million move from North Africa.

As for Danilo, it's been a year of frustration on the fitness front as he suffered a setback in his bid to recover from a devastating knee injury.

But he was beaming again yesterday when he followed up his midweek strike against Kilmarnock.

And Clement said: "I'm very happy for Danny and the team, of course for myself also.

"I missed him 11 months that he was not available, so you see also the difference he can make.

"We missed that in a lot of games, so it's now raising his levels. He's not at his top yet, can't be after that period but he's showing already the good things he showed before.
