EVERY day I see the consequences of 14 years of Tory failure-from economic misery to the turmoil in our public services.

Wages and growth are stagnating, one in four children is stuck in poverty and almost one in six Scots is on an NHS waiting list.

The Tories have turned our democracy into a farce and degraded our politics with scandal and sleaze.

The need for change couldn't be clearer and next month we will have an opportunity to deliver it.

I don't care how you voted in the last election.

I don't care whether you voted yes or no and I don't care whether you voted leave or remain.

I completely understand why people wanted to run a mile from this corrupt, dysfunctional, incompetent Tory government - I do too.

I even understand why so many people turned away from Labour.

For too long, people felt like Labour couldn't win and couldn't deliver the change our country so badly needs.

That's why Keir Starmer and I have worked so hard to change our party and now we are ready to change the country.

This is an opportunity we cannot afford to miss.

Millions of Scots are being failed by a broken status quo but this is not as good as it gets.

Last week, we set out the first steps a Labour government will take to deliver that change for Scotland and to tackle the major challenges our country faces.

These plans set out how we will deliver economic stability, cut NHS waiting times, establish GB Energy, make work pay, create jobs, and maximise Scotland's influence.
