RICKY BURNS is revving up for one last show in Scotland before finally hopping on his bike and riding off into the sunset.

The three-weight world champ is ready to bow out at 40 in September’s battle of the legends clash at Glasgow’s Braehead Arena with fellow Scottish ring legend Willie Limond.

The pair are coaches with Boxing Scotland and are determined to show the next generation they can still pack a punch.

Burns – who is set to open his own gym in Bellshill – admitted it’s time to call it a day and he’s already looking forward to hitting the road.

The Coatbridge boxer said: “I turned 40 this year and I woke up and my birthday present from my missus was a new motorbike. I’ve been getting a wee bit of grief getting told to put it away until after this fight. But when the sun’s out you can’t help yourself.

“Big shout out to St Andrew’s Sporting Club chief Iain Wilson for making this happen.
