The former Easter Road favourite is listed among the bookies' front-runners after guiding Rovers to the play-off semi-finals.

However Murray's focus is on seeing out the clash with Partick Thistle this evening after winning the first leg 2-1.

Hibs are looking for a new gaffer after Nick Montgomery was axed earlier this week.

But Murray said: "It's not something I think about.

"I've never been one for having a career path. Some people will have them and some don't.

"So having that sort of dangerous pathway and wanting something so much that it affects your current job is detrimental to you.
