I'M READY FOR THE MONSTER

DUNCAN SCOTT insists the prospect of facing the swimming superstar dubbed 'the new monster' doesn't scare him.

But the Scot knows he's going to have to produce a mammoth swim to get his claws into Leon Marchand in the 200m medley.

Scott returns to La Defense Arena today on a high having landed gold in the 4x200m freestyle relay to move level with Sir Chris Hoy's Scottish record of seven Olympic gongs.

But he has his work cut out against poster boy Marchand after the French hero blew away the opposition in the 400m individual medley to land gold by almost six seconds and set the colossal arena alight on Sunday night.

And the Frenchman made that a treble gold last night as he won the 200m fly and 200m breaststroke.
