PETER LEVEN doesn't believe it will be an issue stepping out of the firing line at Pittodrie and back into a coaching role under Jimmy Thelin.

The interim boss stepped up and proved his worth as he dragged Aberdeen from the relegation zone to the top of the bottom six.

Caretaker Leven enjoyed the experience but after his summer holiday will revert back to first-team coach when new manager Thelin and his team come in next month.

Asked if it will be difficult to go back to being a coach, he said: "No, I don't think so. I have that relationship with the players and respect.

"I'll still shout and push them every day, whether I'm manager or coach. Nothing changes really." Leven insists he was more than happy to hold the fort and took plenty out of the experience.

And he admits it has whet his appetite to take a stab at management down the line.
