Look me in eye why was my son restrained for three hours before he died?

RELATIVES of a dad who died after being restrained by police and hospital staff for up to three hours during a mental health crisis are demanding answers.

Joseph Sneddon, 37, died at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, Fife, last April, two days after his family called for an ambulance.

His condition deteriorated as he appeared "confused and agitated".

Hospital staff told his sister Laura a "security guard would be sitting beside him at all times" after he was moved wards. Police were called to ward 43 later the same day.

Hours later, Laura was called and arrived with mum Jane, 64, and dad James, 71.

They were told Joseph's "heart had stopped" and, despite medics "working on him for 30 minutes", he couldn't be saved.
