TOMMY CONWAY has been backed to follow in the footsteps of Tyrone Mings and become the latest Yate Town graduate to star at a Euros.
The Scotland new boy, 21, kicked off his professional career when he headed out from Bristol City for a loan spell at the Gloucestershire club in the 2019-20 season.
Yate's famous other son is Aston Villa defender Mings, who started his rise there and went on to star for England at the last tournament.
This summer the club who are at level eight of the football pyramid - will be cheering on England again.
Although, those connected with the Southern League Division One South outfit will be keeping a close eye on Scotland as well to stay on top of Conway's progress.
Yate Town chairman Mark Thorne said: "As one of our ex-players, it would be extra special to see Tommy play at Euro 2024.
