The 24-year-old cemented his reputation as golf's hottest new talent with a four-shot triumph at the RSM Classic on Sunday.

Two nine-under 61s on the weekend in Georgia saw the Swede pocket £1.2million, having only turned pro in June.

Aberg has already helped swat aside the States in Rome, is now ranked No.32 in the world and is guaranteed a Major debut at the Masters come April.

He said: "If you told me this a couple months ago, I would not have believed you.

"To be in this position, I need to pinch myself in the arm... this is beyond my dreams.

"It's been six months that I'll never forget. It's just what you dream of as a kid, this sport that I love and this sport that I'm going to love for a very long time." Along with a maiden Masters invitation came a two-year PGA Tour exemption after a fourth top-10 finish in the space of 16 events on the circuit.
