THE daughter of a Scots mum missing for five decades has demanded answers after detectives revealed the case is being treated as murder.
Isabella Skelton, nee McDowall, from Glasgow, was living in Manchester when she vanished in June 1969.
Her daughter Lynda made an emotional appeal for information in the Record last week ahead of what would be her mum's 90th birthday.
Just days later she was stunned to learn police in Manchester were treating Isabella's case as a murder inquiry and had interviewed a potential suspect three years ago.
Lynda, 69, said: "It was never mentioned to me it was a murder inquiry. Never ever.
That is why I have persevered and gone on and on and on with the search for so long.
