LABOUR have called for former SNP MP Margaret Ferrier to resign after MPs voted in favour of her 30-day suspension.
The Rutherglen and Hamilton West MP will be ejected from her seat if 10 per cent of her constituents sign the petition.
A by-election would then take place in autumn.
Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar said: “Our argument in a by-election will be that only Labour is thinking about the future.”
