DAVID Tennant has revealed he was a bundle of nerves the first time he watched his actor son Ty perform – in case he was rubbish.

The Doctor Who star, who adopted Ty as a nine-year-old, said he was worried how he was going to break it to him if he turned out to be bad at acting.

David, 52, admitted he was delighted and relieved when the 21-year-old, who stars alongside him in the new series of Good Omens, proved to be a talented performer.

The former Time Lord told the Radio Times Podcast: “You think, ‘What if they’re s***? How will I cope? Do I tell them?’

“Luckily, Ty’s really good. He has a natural confidence and ability. That was, first of all, a huge relief and then a matter of great pride, if I’m honest.”
