THE sculptor who created the Kelpies has revealed how work dried up for months after the huge £5million artwork was unveiled.

Andy Scott's steel horse heads, which tower 100ft above the Forth and Clyde Canal near Falkirk, were unveiled in 2014.

They are now a major tourist attraction as well as a global emblem of Scotland.

A decade on, Andy said he is "tremendously proud" of his most famous work.

But, after their unveiling, rather than being flooded with new commissions, he said he sat in his workshop "with tumbleweeds blowing through the place".
