NICOLA Sturgeon said she would not have been able to function during her last weeks in office if she had known she was to be arrested and see her home searched.
The former first minister told a sympathetic audience at the Edinburgh Fringe she'd had no advance warning as Police Scotland investigated alleged wrongdoing concerning the SNP finances.
Sturgeon was and arrested released without charge in June.
She spoke about the "really difficult, traumatic experience" on Iain Dale's All Talk show.
