BAYERN.......4 MAN UTD.......3
DAVID MCDONNELL AT THE ALLIANZ ARENA
HARRY KANE stacked more misery on Manchester United - after their keeper did Bayern's work for them.
With three goalies on the bench, it was surely tempting for Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag to sub Andre Onana and put him out of his misery.
Much was made of the fact United lost out on England skipper Kane to Bayern in this summer's window.
But at the other end, Onana was recruited as the ballplaying keeper whose arrival would take them a step closer to getting back to the top.
Instead, his calamitous mistake in Munich set the tone for a third straight defeat.
Surely Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton and Radek Vitek - the trio sitting on the bench amid United's crisis of personnel would not have fared as poorly.
