PASSPORT FAKER GETS EXTRA JAIL

A FORMER soldier who supplied dodgy passports to Scottish gangsters responsible for "grave" crimes had his jail term increased to 12 years.

Christopher Zietek, 67, helped fugitives assume the identities of drunks and drug addicts to allow them to flee the country.

Nicknamed The Commander, Zietek aided the escape of killer Christopher Hughes, cocaine kingpins Barry and James Gillespie, gang boss James White and hitman Jordan Owens.

In May, Zietek was given eight years, while his co-conspirator, Anthony Beard, 61, was ordered to serve six years and eight months.
