A HEARTBROKEN mum has paid tribute to her "daughter and best friend" who was killed in a horror fall from a hotel balcony in Ibiza.
Talented law student Emma Ramsay, from Hamilton, was enjoying a holiday with pals in the party hotspot of San Antonio when she plunged from the sixth floor of seafront four-star Hotel Vibra District at about 3am on Tuesday.
Paramedics declared the 19-year-old dead at the scene.
Emma, who had been studying at Strathclyde University, shared pictures and video on social media as she partied with friends in the hours before the tragedy took place.
Tik Tok clips showed her dancing in front of the camera before a night out at Hi Ibiza club. In other footage and images she is shown celebrating with pals in a lift before heading out on the town and posing opposite Cafe Mambo on a balcony at Cafe Del Mar.
Tributes were led by the teenager's mum, Barbara, who is understood to have flown to the island in the wake of the accident.
She said: "My angel Emma I don't even know where to begin.
"You are my daughter, my best friend in the whole world and I am going to miss you more than words will ever express. Rest in peace my sweet angel and sleep tight. Mummy loves you so, so much."
