THE cream rose to the top at the AIG Women's Open yesterday when the marquee three-ball of world No.1 Nelly Korda, defending champion Lilia Vu and English golden girl Charley Hull lived up to their star billing.
Korda scored lowest of the trio to establish a threeshot halfway lead at the Old Course on eight-under-par after wind speeds dropped from 45 mph on Thursday to make life a touch easier for the world's top female players.
And while they failed to match Korda's 68, Vu and Hull, who led by one overnight, kept firmly in touch with rounds of 70 and 72, respectively.
