Sturgeon cop raid 'like Fred West's house'

AN SNP MSP has compared the police search of Nicola Sturgeon's home to the probe into serial killer Fred West

James Dornan also accused the police and media of "collusion" and questioned the evidence leading to the arrest of Sturgeon, her husband Peter Murrell and the SNP's ex-treasurer Colin Beattie.

The Glasgow MSP said the end result was "like Fred West's house" - a reference to the 1994 search of a Gloucester property belonging to serial killers Fred and Rose West.

Dornan was commenting on a police probe into how £600,000 of indyref2 donations were spent.

Dornan defended Humza Yousaf's decision not to suspend the ex-leader after she was arrested and released without charge.
