Giovanni's vow on Strictly complaints

STRICTLY star Giovanni Pernice has thanked fans for their support and vowed to clear his name after complaints were made to the BBC about his training methods.

The professional dancer, 33, said his efforts to improve the skills of his celebrity partners on the show have "come from a place of love".

Up to three of his Strictly partners, including actress Amanda Abbington, are believed to have lodged complaints with the BBC via law firm Carter-Ruck.

Addressing his "dear fans", Giovanni said in a statement: "You will be as surprised as I am that allegations have been made about my dance teaching methods in the media this week.
