THE wife of Scottish rugby legend Scott Hastings is presumed dead after she disappeared while wild swimming in Edinburgh.
Mum-of-two Jenny, 60, went missing in the waters off Wardie Bay at around 2.45pm on Tuesday.
A major multi-agency search was launched, however her body has not yet been recovered.
The heartbroken Hastings family have said Jenny "struggled with her mental health" and "ultimately was unable to cope on this occasion".
They said: "It appears she wished to end her suffering in what was a regular and healing place for her. Unfortunately her mind was not in a place of safety.
