STUTTGART'S chief of police has admitted his big fear at the Euros is the Tartan Army drinking the pubs dry.

Markus Eisenbraun predicted the only thing his city will have to worry about from the Scots arriving is ensuring their pubs are well stocked.

Scotland kick off the Euro 2024 campaign in two weeks with a game in Munich against host nation Germany before facing Switzerland in Cologne.

But their final match in Stuttgart against Hungary has been labelled "high risk" by the city because of the notorious reputation of Hungary's "Carpathian Brigade"

Although only 10,000 Scotland fans will have tickets for all three games officially, it's thought up to 100,000 Scots will go to Germany for the Euros.

Eisenbraun doesn't believe there will be as many as that and he's not expecting the Tartan Army to cause his officers problems.

He said: "The football fans who will visit are very different. For example, Scottish fans are said to be peaceful and hard drinkers. The bars and restaurants are the ones who will need to prepare for that."
