Punters pulled out all the stops in stunning hats, summer dresses and smart suits as Charles and Camilla kicked off the five-day festival.
And the sun had its hat on too, as thousands f locked to the annual event.
The royal couple are hoping for a repeat of last year’s luck, when their horse Desert Hero won the King George V Stakes, their first winner at the famous meeting as owners.
