DOM THOMAS insists Queen's Park must invest in experience in next month's transfer window - because rivals with it are picking them off.
First-team coach Paul Nuijten will take the Spiders at Cappielow today for their first game since Robin Veldman's reign ended.
Skipper Thomas admitted "We feel we have let him down" after Veldman paid for failing to win a league game since August.
Thomas, at 27 the second-oldest player in Veldman's final starting XI for a 4-1 defeat by Inverness, doesn't believe their style of play should exit with the Dutchman.
However, he admits their youthful squad need a hand from some older heads and it would only help their development in the long run.
He said: "Getting in front, going 1-0 up, should be massive but it didn't seem to be that way. It's probably a couple of individual errors that lead to all the goals.
