THREE Atlantic storms with 70mph winds are set to batter us - but there could still be snow over Christmas.
Festive markets were cancelled and shoppers hit by gales yesterday as Storm Elin brought three inches of rain to Scotland, with an inch falling further south.
A second storm buffets the North West today, with 60mph gusts expected, as downpours drench other parts of the UK.
A Met Office forecaster said: "Wet and windy weather is dominating.
