CRAWLING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

MILLIONS of Brits are facing travel misery as they battle cancelled trains and gridlocked traffic to get home for Christmas.

Last night rail services ground to a halt as Storm Pia left tracks flooded between Norwich and Sheringham, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.

The storm, which hit speeds of up to 115mph, also saw all ScotRail trains suspended, with an ice warning for Scotland in force until noon today.

Meanwhile, the backlog caused by Thursday's Eurotunnel strikes led to chaotic scenes at London St Pancras.

Valentin Walch and Pauline Cerceau, 26, were among thousands left stranded overnight.
