IN THE happiest country in the world, Lee Carsley could almost smile again.
Goals from Jack Grealish, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Declan Rice secured a comfortable if flattering win for England to get interim boss Carsley back in the FA's good books again.
But it's safe to assume Carsley wasn't jumping for joy at having beaten a Finland side ranked 64th in the world, who have only ever qualified for one major tournament.
Two goals in the final 15 minutes from Alexander-Arnold and Rice added some polish to a performance that lacked the shine we have come to expect.
And in a nation famous for rock music, the Three Lions spent too much time failing to produce some 'heavy metal football! Carsley had promised to rip it up and start again following last week's defeat by Greece at Wembley.
