EDDIE HOWE wants Newcastle fans to believe his squad is "capable greatness".
The pressure on Howe and his team to deliver a top-six finish - and mount a challenge for Champions League qualification - has risen this season after club chiefs set a very public aim of mixing with the elite.
However Howe, who said in May he wanted to substantially evolve his squad, has yet to be handed a big summer signing like his rival bosses as they haggle with Crystal Palace, tabling a fourth bid of more than £60m for defender Marc Guehi (inset).
