VIRGIL VAN DIJK has warned Manchester City that Liverpool will lock horns with them again for the title.
The pair meet in a table-topping Premier League clash on Saturday week and Jurgen Klopp’s rebuilt Liverpool have got their mojo back.
Van Dijk was impressed by how well the Reds brushed aside Brentford, who had won their three previous games, at Anfield on Sunday, despite missing eight players through injury and suspension.
James McConnell, 19, made his Prem debut as a late replacement for Dominik Szoboszlai, while Jarell Quansah, 20, continued his development, coming on for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
When asked if Liverpool can compete with City for the title, Reds skipper Van Dijk said: “I hope so.
“On Sunday, I looked in the dressing room and it felt like we were the Under-23s. But still we have the quality. If you’re good enough, you’re old enough.
