Pollinate plants with paint brush

HUMANS may be forced to pollinate crops with paint brushes if bees are wiped out.

The insects are in decline because their habitats are being lost through the building of urban developments and climate change.

The Royal Horticultural Society fears if more is not done to boost their numbers they could be wiped out.

That would mean a national campaign urging farmers and gardeners to physically use paint brushes to make fruit and veg grow by spreading pollen.
