Katy Emma Finucane, Marchant and Sophie Capewell brought home the bullion as Team GB struck gold in the women's team pursuit, breaking the world record three times in as many hours.
And it really could be the start of another British gold rush in the velodrome.
Dame Laura Kenny, the first lady of the track, thinks Team GB could win as many as eight golds at Paris 2024.
And in the case of Finucane, the hype may not be misplaced.
