After what has been a difficult Olympics, Asher-Smith returned to some of her best form in the final of the 200m, only to be denied a bronze medal by just two-hundredths of a second last night.
Asher-Smith had been told by her coach Edrick 'Flo' Floreal before the race, "If you die, you die... just get out and keep going".
That do-or-die attitude very nearly got her a medal after a 100m performance that was well off her best and left her and her coaching team scratching their heads. Now, she plans to leave Paris with a medal of some colour.
"I'm really excited for the relay," she said. "I think it's going to be a fun couple of days for us.
