GRAHAM POTTER admitted Chelsea fans have every right to be “upset and angry”, as pressure on him intensified following yesterday’s 2-0 defeat against Tottenham.
Potter admitted he does not have much credit in the bank at Chelsea after a third consecutive loss left the Blues closer to the relegation zone than the top four. The Blues are now 14 points adrift of the Champions League places and a section of supporters have turned on Potter.
Co-owner Todd Boehly was present yesterday to see Chelsea slump to a defeat that leaves them just 10 points above the bottom three.
Potter has retained the support of Chelsea’s owners but it remains to be seen how long they can keep faith in him.
Chelsea’s season is now likely to rest on their performance in the Champions League.
