Maruti first carmaker to produce 2 mn units in a year

MARUTI SUZUKI ON Tuesday said it has become India's first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to produce two million vehicles in a calendar year.

The milestone vehicle, an Ertiga, was rolled out from the company's Manesar facility.

"Maruti Suzuki also became the first among Suzuki Motor Corporation's global automobile manufacturing facilities to reach this landmark," it said in its statement.
