APPLE'S HEADSET UNVEIL has set the tech world in a tizzy. While augmented reality (AR) is nothing new, the Cupertino-based A tech giant's announcement has caused much excitement and intrigue among techies and non-techies alike. Notably, Apple's pricey AR headset is being touted as its biggest bet since the iPhone, which the then-CEO Steve Jobs unveiled over a decade back.
"Today marks the beginning of a new era for computing," said Apple's current CEO Tim Cook."Just as the Mac introduced us to personal computing, and iPhone introduced us to mobile computing, Apple Vision Pro introduces us to spatial computing," he added. Notably, the company has termed the device as "a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with the physical world, while allowing users to stay present and connected to others".
"Apple Vision Pro brings a new dimension to powerful, personal computing by changing the way users interact with their favourite apps, capture and relive memories, enjoy stunning TV shows and movies, and connect with others in FaceTime," is how Apple describes its product.
