ATS ARRESTED MANISH AZAD FROM HIS RESIDENCE IN PRAYARAJ, CLAIMED THAT HE IS INVOLVED IN NAXAL ACTIVITIES

PRAYAGRAJ: A team of UP ATS from Lucknow arrested Manish Srivastava aka Manish Azad, brother of human rights activist Seema Azad, from his residence in Govindpur on Sunday afternoon alleging his involvement in Naxal activities.

In a late-night communique issued by ATS, officials informed that Manish was arrested in an old case and was taken to Lucknow.

Seema Azad claimed that her brother was arrested by ATS at around 3 pm on Sunday afternoon.

Manish and his wife Amita were arrested in 2019 on charges of inciting people against the government.

Both were released on bail in 2020.
