DEHRADUN: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday said that the people of Uttarakhand living in foreign countries have expressed their interest to carry out development works in villages under the "Adopt a village" programme and submitted their proposals before the state government for their holistic development.
A detailed development plan of the villages identified by migrant Uttarakhandis is being prepared with their suggestions, the CM added.
Dhami in his interaction with the people living abroad on March 5 last year made an appeal to them to adopt one or more villages in the state.
