Canada Political Crisis: Trudeau Expected To Resign Soon

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to resign this week, potentially as early as Monday but could remain in the post till the summer as the ruling Liberal Party elects a new leader to replace him.

TORONTO:

Trudeau is likely to make the decision prior to the meeting of the party's national caucus, which is scheduled for Wednesday. The news outlet Globe and Mail reported that he is expected to announce his resignation "as early as Monday".
