NDA leaders to meet today as Oppn sharpens attack on Shah
Hindustan Times Lucknow|December 25, 2024
Leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are all set to meet at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda's residence on Wednesday, amid the opposition's mounting campaign against Union home minister Amit Shah over his recent remarks on BR Ambedkar in Parliament.
Smriti Kak Ramachandran

NEW DELHI:

The opposition has accused Shah of "insulting" Ambedkar, the country's first law minister, during his speech in the Rajya Sabha on December 17 while replying to the two-day discussion on 75 years of Constitution.

While no agenda for the meeting was shared, the NDA leaders are expected to take stock of the upcoming Delhi assembly elections and the Union government's efforts to elicit support for key legislations, such as the Waqf (Amendments) Bill and the Constitution (129th amendment) Bill, 2024, which have been referred to joint parliamentary committees.
