Amid protests across state, BPSC retest held for select candidates

The retest for a select group of candidates who had appeared in the recently held Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam took place on Saturday amid protests for the exam to be held again for all aspirants, officials said.

Officials said that 12,000 candidates were scheduled to give the re-exam at 22 centres in Patna. The candidates had appeared for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), which took place on December 13, at the Bapu Pariksha Parisar centre in Patna. A fresh test was ordered after the exam was cancelled at the centre over alleged delays in distribution of question papers and leaks.
