PATNA:
On the first day of the conference, Jay Shree Technologies (HelloWare), SuperSeva, Excel Dot, and AVPL signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with the state IT department. On the first day, investment proposals worth ₹275 crore were received.
Speaking at the inaugural session, DyCM Samrat Choudhary said the state government had acquired 8,000 acres of land in the current financial year for developing industrial areas and would obtain another 10,000 acres next fiscal to attract investments in the state.
"The NDA government in the state is taking several steps to boost investments. The industries department in association with several other concerned wings of the state government is providing an enabling eco-system for the overall industrial development of Bihar through appropriate policy interventions," he added.
Choudhary said in addition to the efforts being made by the state government, the Centre was working to connect 10 "smaller and unconnected" areas in Bihar by air.
Addressing the gathering, IT minister of Bihar, Santosh Kumar Suman, said, "Bihar is witnessing a digital revolution. The state's IT infrastructure, educational initiatives, and policy framework are creating an ideal ecosystem for tech companies and startups. With initiatives such as the Bihar State Data Center and Digital Bihar, the government is enhancing connectivity, data security, and e-governance solutions, which are transforming the delivery of public services. Bihar offers the lowest operational costs compared to metro cities, leading to significant savings in office rents, talent hiring, and everyday expenses."
