Taking a veiled dig at the Opposition Congress, Sharma said, "Many have expressed their doubt on whether the MoUs signed during this summit will ever be implemented in reality. I only want to say that they have to wait a year. On exactly the same date next year, December 11, 2025, we will give you the report card with details of the status of those MoUs."
He added: "I promise that all these MoUs will be implemented in the next two years. When we organise our next Rising Rajasthan summit, you will get the entire result of this MoUs. Today is the last day of the summit. But it is not an end, rather a beginning of a new era in Rajasthan."
"Soon after the new BJP government came to power, we identified our priorities. The summit received maximum investments in the energy sector which was one of our priorities apart from water and road infrastructure. These three sectors are also considered the key to the developments of any state. A robust development is expected in the next few years when we mine the natural resources with the help of the MoUs signed in this summit," he said.
Laying out the government's vision to promote the MSMEs in this journey of development, Sharma slammed the earlier Congress-led UPA government.
"The government that came to the power after the independence has completely destroyed the small entrepreneurs while replacing them with the big business tycoons and industrialists. The scope of skill development was destroyed under them. PM Modi has brought the focus back on the MSMEs and with his vision we have brought dedicated policy for them," Sharma said.
"The skill development and the growth of the small start-ups are the key of employment generation in Rajasthan. We believe that they would have a significant role in our target to make the state a $350 billion economy by 2030," he said.
