The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations on Monday cancelled its class 12 chemistry theory exam, hours before candidates were meant to write the paper, and rescheduled it to March 21, citing unforeseen circumstances amid unconfirmed reports that the questions may have leaked.
The cancellation was announced by Sangeeta Bhatia, deputy secretary of the council, in a public notice that merely cited "unforeseen circumstances"-without offering specific reason. The test will now be taken on Thursday, March 21, at 2 pm, she added.
